  • Should I take my child out of school to come for therapy?
Children are tired after a full day at school. Because the Centre's programme requires children to think, the earlier in the day you can make an appointment, the more successful your child will be.

  • How do explain the programme to my child in a positive manner so that their self-esteem isn't adversely affected?
A child's self-esteem is directly tied to how well he/she is doing at school. If your child is not doing well at school, he will already not be feeling good about himself. As he works through the programme and attainment improves so will self -esteem.

  • How often do we need to come to the Centre?
Clients usually attend the Centre every two weeks. Between visits therapy and exercises continue at home. We are always available for support by telephone.

  • Where do I go for Assessment and therapy?
The Learning and Development Centre's head office is based in Dunkeld. All assessments are carried out at the Centre unless you are in England, then you will go to a branch of the Centre in Blackheath, Kent.
Therapy and training programmes are available in Dunkeld, Aberdeen and Blackheath.
We are able to visit your home under exceptional circumstances; if you require this service please enquire directly to us.

  • How do I get there?
All the Centres are easily reached by road or rail. You will be sent full details of travel when you make your appointment. We can also supply you with accommodation information if required.
